How to swap beauty products safely

The rules that make a beauty swap safe: sealed products, checked listings, approvals from everyone and tracked shipping.

Short answer

Swap only factory-sealed, in-date products; use a service that checks listings and keeps your address private; approve the exact swap before anything ships; and ship with tracking. SwapMyBeauty is built around those rules.

Personal-care products touch skin, eyes and lips. A factory seal is the simplest proof a product was never used, so SwapMyBeauty accepts sealed products only.

Every listing is reviewed before it can be matched: photos, declarations and dates. Listings that don't meet the rules are sent back with the reason.

A swap is a proposal until every member accepts the exact products in it. You have 48 hours to decide, and the products are held for the proposal meanwhile.

Each member gets a prepaid, tracked label. Other members see your first name and SwapScore; your address appears only on the label of a swap you accepted.

Questions

What if I receive the wrong item?

Report it from the swap page before confirming receipt. We review it with both members.

Do I meet the other person?

No. Swaps go by carrier, so there's no meeting strangers.
