Short answer

Selling gets you cash but means setting prices, answering buyers and paying marketplace fees. Swapping gets you products you want directly: on SwapMyBeauty you list for free and pay only your postage share and a small service fee when a swap completes.

Questions

Is swapping free?

Listing is free. When a swap completes you pay your share of postage and a service fee of 5% of the value you receive + $0.70 (max $7.99) per completed swap,.

What if values don't match?

They need to be close. If yours is worth less, you can add another product from your Closet.
