How SwapMyBeauty works

Your Swap Closet holds only the products you’re happy to let go of, not your whole collection. Add a photo, the brand, size and shade, and confirm the product is new, unused, authentic, sealed and in date.

Each listing gets an estimated value, labeled with where it came from: a catalog reference or a provisional estimate. Values guide matching; they are never money, credit or a balance. Every listing is checked against our rules before it can be matched: an automated review approves the clear cases, and anything uncertain goes to our team.

Swipe through sealed products from other members, save favorites to your wishlist, search by brand or category, or try Surprise Me for something outside your usual shelf. Likes and wishlist items are how you tell SwapMyBeauty what you would happily receive.

On any product, GET THIS asks the matching engine to build a swap in which you receive it. It may find a direct swap (one for one), a bundle (several of your products for one), or a MultiSwap with a third member.

If nothing works yet, you’ll see “No perfect swap yet” and, where it helps, which kind of product would make one possible. We keep watching and tell you if a match appears.

You want a perfume. Its owner doesn’t want any of your products, but she does want a skincare set that another member owns. That member, in turn, would love your lipstick, mascara and palette.

MultiSwap connects the three of you in one loop: you send your three products to the skincare member, she sends her set to the perfume owner, and the perfume comes to you. Everyone receives something they asked for, and everyone ships one parcel.

Behind the scenes the engine solves this exactly for up to three members and three products each, and an independent checker re-verifies every rule before you see a proposal: no product is promised twice, no one receives something they didn’t ask for, and nobody gives without receiving.

A proposal shows what you give, what you get, the estimated values, how many parcels you send, your shipping share, the service fee and the deadline. The products involved are held for up to 48 hours.

The swap goes ahead only when every member accepts the exact same proposal from their own account. If anyone declines, or the deadline passes, the proposal is cancelled and every product is released. Even after everyone accepts, any member can still cancel the swap from the swap page until the carrier scans the first parcel: nothing ships, nobody pays the fee, and the other members get back any postage they paid.

Each member confirms a shipping address and pays their share of the real carrier rates plus the service fee. Labels are created only once everyone has paid. You drop off your parcel, follow tracking, and confirm receipt when your products arrive sealed. The swap completes when every member has confirmed.
